This acoustic pop and folk trio features a jazz-tinged sound that digs deep into the roots of American popular music. The band includes Kathy Sommer on acoustic and electric violins, Craig Jaster on bass, keyboards, and accordion, and Paul Hubert on acoustic and electric guitars. Their repertoire ignores traditional boundaries between jazz, folk, pop, and rock and their sound is defined by deep respect for the craft of songwriting and arranging. In performance, they play a lively fusion of their original acoustic folk and pop, New Orleans-influence R&B, and jazz. A 2007 review in Fourth Coast Entertainment magazine describes The Buskers as "Spunky, energetic, fabulously talented...see this band if you get a chance. I'd even call them luminescent. As well as versatile, passionate, and funny."
